I think it's better to be honest about what upsets you than to pretend otherwise. So, it's fine to be concerned about that. It was rather worrying.

I can't say I am used to a scenario exactly like this.

[ because this scenario is insane. ]

But I will admit that it takes a lot to shake me.

I'm doing my best on that part, but the thing she said... she said that we cheated death somehow. I don't remember doing anything that grand before, so would this mean we all technically died when the train exploded and came back to life for some reason? And then this grim reaper thing didn't like that and is now pulling some weird things to kill everyone to "make it right"?

Well, it's either that or we were supposed to die on the train explosion but somehow survived it.

[ she purses her lips, frowning. ]

Of course, that only works if people's fates are predetermined.

Not in the slightest. What is the point, if we can't break our chains by our own desires?

Right? What's the point if we can't take a hold of it ourselves?!

But... what's going to happen tomorrow? Would they just keep her locked up forever and then send her home? But that's kinda what some of us want...

I think it depends on what they consider punishment here.

For example, a crime like the one she committed may end up a death penalty where I am from.

Like an eye for an eye kind of system?

[ She thinks that makes sense, but also... she doesn't like it. ]

But I think we should keep all options in mind when we don't know what the legal system here is, if there even is any.

If they have a legal system, they should get a proper maintenance system instead.

... well, I think some people place importance onto different things. Perhaps they just don't see their malfunctioning equipment to be a major problem.

Clearly, they don't view death as an issue...
